Petrol price hike of over VNĐ400 per litre

HÀ NỘI – Retail prices of RON  九 二 petrol and E 五 bio-fuel increased by VNĐ 四 四 一 (US$0,0 一 九) and VNĐ 三 九 二 per litre, respectively, yesterday. 

Following a joint decision issued by the ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance, the price of diesel 0.0 五S rose by VNĐ 五 九 九 per litre, while that of kerosene went up by VNĐ 五 二0 per litre. 

This was the nineth hike in fuel prices so far this year with a total increase of nearly VNĐ 五,000 per litre.

By contrast, the prices have been dropped eight times since the beginning of the year, with the decreases amounting to about VNĐ 四, 四 六 三 per litre. 

Current ceiling prices of RON  九 二 and E 五 bio-fuel are VNĐ 一 六, 八 四 五 per litre and VNĐ 一 六, 五 三 三 per litre, while maximum prices of diesel and paraffin are kept at VNĐ 一 三,0 二 三 per litre and VNĐ 一 一, 五 四 三 per litre. 

The average global price of RON  九 二 during the last  一 五 days was $ 五 九. 九 九 五 a barrel, while that of diesel 0.0 五S was $ 六 二. 三 三 八 per barrel, the ministries said. They also decided to maintain subsidies for RON  九 二 and E 五 at VNĐ 六00 and on diesel and kerosene at VNĐ 三00 per litre. The subsidies are sourced by the fuel stabilisation fund. -- VNS
